Abstract

The traditional activity of sericulture in Iranian culture and civilization, the need to maintain and continue it by utilizing different strategies linked to systematic market changes, such as the life cycle, is considered a way to activate, increase productivity, and gain competitiveness. Study was conducted in order to monitor sericulture activities in rural areas of Ramyan County. This study is descriptive and analytical in nature, and the sample population consists of 65 activists in the industry in the city that has been selected for the study. It was purposeful to select samples for experts, and selection for the local community was random. To analyze the data, we used the sum of mean scores, Friedman test, one-way analysis of variance, and t-test in SPSS software environment and ArcGIS to prepare the map. Based on comparing the current situation to the predicted average for growth and development of the business (T-value = 3), sericulture business has a numerical average of 2.11 at the end of the lower stages. In terms of development and growth, it is in the conflict phase. In addition, it is well known for its presence in regional markets, production in the traditional style, irregular planning, efforts to revive the sericulture, and the colorful role households play in marketing and preparing raw materials. Furthermore, examining the relationships between the life cycle components of this business can demonstrate the availability of environmental capital and its competitive advantages.
