In rural development planning, spatial justice—defined as the equitable distribution of public services and equal access of settlements to those services—is considered one of the fundamental pillars of rural sustainability. However, in many counties with large areas and high dispersion of villages, the centralized pattern of services leads to the systematic deprivation of peripheral areas. The aim of this study is to analyze the spatial distribution of public services in the rural areas of Larestan County and to evaluate its compliance with spatial justice. This research was conducted using a descriptive-analytical method, utilizing spatial data from OSM and population data from the 2016 census. First, 1, 3, and 5 km circular buffers were created around service centers, and the Euclidean distance from each village to the nearest service was calculated. Then, the Lorenz curve was drawn and the Gini coefficient was estimated in Excel. The findings showed that only 5 villages (less than 5%) are located within a distance of less than one kilometer (good access), while 86 villages (more than 81%) are located at a distance of more than 5 kilometers (very poor access). The Gini coefficient of 0.621 indicates a spatial inequality far higher than the average for rural areas of Iran, and the distribution pattern is highly monocentric and concentrated around the city of Lar. In conclusion, the spatial distribution of public services in the rural areas of Larestan County is deeply distant from spatial justice, and establishing secondary service centers in the eastern, western, and southern districts, along with improving access roads, are the most essential strategies for improving the situation
