Kahir Dam is located in Sistan and Baluchestan province and has a geographical area of 25o 38" north latitude" and 60o 09" east longitude and also 110 km west of Chabahar city." The study area is mainly composed of clastic sediments and various rock units within that limited the shale, marl, sandstone and conglomerate. There clastic deposits in the area will cause problems for the dam. The aim of this study was to evaluate slope stability and the possibility of escape of water from the base of the dam Kahir. After studying and surveying and data processing software by a series Rock Science results have been obtained. Studies show that the dam's supports are stable in terms of potential for collapse, both plate fault and wedge rupture. In this study, faults in the dam area were also examined in terms of the possibility of water leakage and the results of the study showed that the predominant trend of these faults is parallel to the dam axis,So regional fault zone in terms of the possibility of escape of water are safe. Examination of the Joints in the right abutment showed that these Joints are perpendicular to the axis of the dam, indicating the potential for water to escape from the right abutment joints. Examining the characteristics of the discontinuities (fillings) of the area, it was determined that in the right abutment, the possibility of water escape will be low. Left-leaning Joints have similar conditions to right-handers. In general, the possibility of water escaping in the study area is low.
